Don’t miss DUB FEVER — Hall 2, Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 April.

Step into DUB FEVER, a visual deep-dive into one of reggae’s most inventive offshoots. For two days only, Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 April, you can explore a handpicked selection of 100 rare and iconic dub LP sleeves, exhibited in Hall 2 at the Mega Record & CD Fair.

All covers come from the private collection of Aad Brakus (The Hague), a lifelong dub devotee whose journey took him from discovering early Jamaican sounds in the 1960s to digging for records across the UK, and later travelling to Jamaica to connect with legendary producers and studios. Over the years, that passion grew into a remarkable archive of dub history and for this exhibition, Aad has selected 100 standout sleeves that capture the spirit, mystery, and design language of dub’s golden era.

Dub was born in Kingston’s studios at the end of the 1960s, when engineers and producers began stripping tracks down to bass and drums, then rebuilding them with echo, reverb, and radical studio effects. It was remix culture before the world had a name for it and by the mid-to-late 1970s, dub albums became cult objects for collectors, with sleeves ranging from minimal DIY designs to bold, unmistakable “DUB” statements.

To celebrate the exhibition, a very limited screen-printed sleeve edition (inspired by a mid-’70s dub classic) will be launched at the fair, a true collector’s item for those who know.
Aad will be present throughout the expo, together with fellow vinyl friends, ready to chat, share stories, and answer questions. Even if you’re just discovering dub, the artwork alone is worth the visit and with so many legendary covers on display, you’ll leave with fresh listening inspiration (and probably a longer wantlist).
