About Miss Twist
At the age of 14, Miss Twist began seriously collecting and spinning singles (45 rpm records). For years now, she has been a familiar and much-loved DJ at Record Planet. She knows how to turn every moment on stage into a success. As a female vintage vinyl DJ, Miss Twist truly understands what it’s all about, what makes it spin.
Acoustic Solid presented by GVR Audio | Hall 7 terrace
Join Jan Douwe Kroeske at the Acoustic Solid stand, presented by GVR Audio, for a listening session that puts the record itself at the centre of the conversation.
Founded in southern Germany in 1996, Acoustic Solid combines traditional craftsmanship with precision CNC engineering. Its turntables are built with a clear ambition: to reveal the detail and emotion captured in a record’s grooves, bringing listeners as close as possible to the experience of live music.
At the Acoustic Solid Listening Party, you can hear that philosophy in action through the turntable and speaker system at the stand. Drop by between the artist appearances, discover familiar records afresh and share a moment of focused listening with fellow visitors.
Erwin Nyhoff rose to prominence as the frontman of The Prodigal Sons, the Dutch band that brought blues and southern rock to some of the country’s biggest stages. The band broke through in the 1990s with Wine of Life and You Still Think.
At the Mega Record & CD Fair, Jan Douwe Kroeske will sit down with Nyhoff for a conversation, followed by a short live performance. Visitors can also purchase the vinyl release of the 1993 2 Meter Sessions recordings and have it signed.
The Scene combines Dutch-language lyrics with a distinctive rock sound. Songs such as Blauw and Iedereen Is Van De Wereld reached a wide audience. The LP Live on 2 Meter Sessions brings together ten archive recordings made between 1990 and 1999.
At the Mega Record & CD Fair, Jan Douwe Kroeske will sit down with the band for a conversation, followed by a short live performance. Visitors can also purchase the vinyl release at the fair and have it signed.
